The thoughts, ramblings, and musings of a middle aged city dweller who decided to move to a little townhouse on the prairie. Literally.

I am a terrible photographer, really terrible, but even if that were not so, I don't have the equipment necessary to capture the majesty of the North Dakota sky. So the picture on this page is stolen, but two days ago the sky looked exactly like this. I could never have imagined the North Dakota sky. I have been to many places around the world, but I have never seen anything quite like it. It appears limitless. It fluctuates between a sharp monochromatic perfect blue, and a clear yet somehow milky blue grey. And the clouds! The clouds look like the clouds that part at the beginning of The Simpsons. Really. Exactly like that. Anyway, my point is that I feel pretty lucky to be able to see this fascinating stretch of sky every day. I guess this is the definition of being grateful for simple things. Yet anyone who knows me would likely say that I tend to value the complicated over the simple. I guess I am changing.
